Don't you want one right now? 8-)\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bupkis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/popover_hand_800.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"507\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bupkis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/popover_hand_800.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.bupkis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/popover_hand_800-236x300.jpg 236w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/>These popovers are so incredibly light, crispy and awesome that you&#8217;ll want to blow off the rest of the day just to linger over breakfast, fresh coffee and a newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>They go beautifully with an omelet. and make a nice home for a perfectly poached egg with a slice of cheddar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A few notes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a very simple recipe, but it&#8217;s important to make sure everything is the right temperature, or they won&#8217;t puff up.<\/p>\n<p>Popovers puff up from internal steam pressure. If the ingredients are cold, the outside will harden before the inside puffs up.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy! Each one is a unique work of art.<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" width=\"45%\" cellspacing=\"2\" cellpadding=\"2\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"3\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong>:<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">240<\/td>\n<td>g<\/td>\n<td>Milk, warm (whole milk gives a nicer texture, but 2% works)(about 1 1\/3 cups)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">170<\/td>\n<td>Grams<\/td>\n<td>All-purpose flour. (about 1 1\/3 cups)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">4<\/td>\n<td>Large<\/td>\n<td>Eggs (room temperature)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">43g<\/td>\n<td>Grams<\/td>\n<td>Butter, melted(about 3 Tablespoons)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">5<\/td>\n<td>Grams<\/td>\n<td>Kosher Salt (about 3\/4 teaspoon)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Move oven rack to the middle position, put popover pan in oven and preheat to 450\u00b0F\u00a0 <strong>on convection <\/strong>for bout 30 minutes<strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Heat the milk in the microwave until warm but not hot.<\/li>\n<li>Take the eggs out of the refrigerator and put the in a bowl of warm water.<\/li>\n<li>Once the milk and eggs are warm, crack the eggs into a blender, add the milk and salt and turn on blender. Add the melted butter.<\/li>\n<li>Add the flour. Mix until it&#8217;s a little frothy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Let sit for 15 minutes.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Remove the pan from the oven, spray with baking\/cooking\u00a0 spray, <strong>quickly<\/strong> fill each popover cup bout 3\/4 full and put back in oven.<\/li>\n<li>Bake until crusty and <em>light<\/em> brown, about 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce oven temperature to 300\u00b0F and bake another 10 minutes to firm up the insides and darken the outside a little more.<\/li>\n<li>Serve hot, with butter and honey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Makes 6 popovers<\/p>\n<p>5 Weight Watcher&#8217;s Smart Points each.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>These popovers are so incredibly light, crispy and awesome that you&#8217;ll want to blow off the rest of the day just to linger over breakfast, fresh coffee and a newspaper.
